Regular Season Round 12: MBA - Dynamo M. 88-50

Bottom-ranked Dynamo M. (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-50 loss to second ranked MBA (11-1) in Moscow. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo M.'s 28. They outrebounded Dynamo M. 45-30 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. MBA players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Dynamo M.'s players. It was a good game for the former international Anna Leshovceva (181-1987) who led her team to a victory with 16 points and 7 assists. International center Zhosselina Maiga (192-1996) contributed with 14 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Five MBA players scored in double figures. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mariia Cheremisina (174-1992) replied with 20 points and 5 rebounds and Belarusian forward Natallia Harbachova (178-1999) added 13 points in the effort for Dynamo M.MBA have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record having just one point less than leader UMMC. Dynamo M. at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. MBA will play against Dynamo NR (#10) in Novosibirsk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dynamo M. will play at home against Neftyanik and hopes to get finally their first victory.
