Regular Season Round 11: Kaposvari - Sopron KC 79-96

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Sopron KC (6-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked Kaposvari (3-8) 96-79 on Thursday. Sopron KC made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Canadian guard Yasiin Joseph (186, college: Carleton) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American-Slovakian guard Andre Jones (191-1990, college: Winthrop) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian Tomislav Gabric (204-1995, agency: AltusBasket) responded with 23 points and American guard Dayon Griffin (196-1995, college: UCF) scored 18 points. Four Sopron KC and five Kaposvari players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sopron KC moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kormend. Kaposvari lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. Sopron KC will meet at home higher ranked Duna Aszfalt (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kaposvari will play against Hubner NBS (#14) in Nyiregyhaza and hope to secure a win.
