Regular Season Round 11: Atomeromu - ZTE KK 99-98

The most exciting game of round 11 in the A Division took place in Paks. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked ZTE KK (6-5) to eighth ranked Atomeromu (6-5) 99-98 in the game for the seventh place. Atomeromu made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Atomeromu outrebounded ZTE KK 36-20 including a 27-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was U.S. Virgin Islands guard Deon Edwin (190-1992, college: Kent St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Serbian forward Milos Grubor (201-1991) chipped in 28 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). American guard Liam OReilly (188-1996, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 28 points and 7 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard DMitrik Trice (183-1996, college: Wisconsin) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. ZTE KK's coach Sebastjan Krasovec rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Atomeromu moved-up to seventh place, which they share with defeated ZTE KK. ZTE KK lost third consecutive game. Atomeromu is looking forward to face Szedeak (#12) in Szeged in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ZTE KK will play at home against OSE Lions (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
