Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Szedeak (2-9) was defeated on the road by first ranked Szombathely (10-1) 79-74 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Szombathely forced 21 Szedeak turnovers. It was a great evening for international Zoltan Perl (195-1995, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 assists. Serbian guard Stefan Pot (194-1994) helped adding 14 points and 6 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American forward Tyler Roberson (203-1994, college: Syracuse) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Wesley Person (190-1995, college: Troy) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Szombathely have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-1 record. Szedeak lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Bp. Honved. Szombathely will meet Kormend (#5) on the road in the next round. Szedeak will play against Atomeromu (#7) and hope to secure a win.
