Regular Season Round 10: Neuchatel - Nyon 77-61

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Nyon (2-8) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Neuchatel (5-5) 77-61 on Saturday. Neuchatel dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Nyon's 28. American point guard Nate West (180-1998, college: LeTourneau) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Grenadian center Arkim Robertson (208-1994, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. West is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Neuchatel players scored in double figures. At the losing side American DeVante Brooks (198, college: S.Arkansas, agency: Players Group) responded with 18 points and the former international point guard Jeremy Jaunin (170-1991) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Neuchatel moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Starwings. Nyon lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. Neuchatel will meet at home Lugano (#8) in the next round. Nyon will have a break next round.
