Regular Season Round 11: Bp. Honved - Hubner NBS 83-87

Hubner NBS can celebrate finally their first win this season after ten consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Budapest, where they defeated Bp. Honved (2-9) 87-83 on Saturday. Hubner NBS made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American guard Darius Perry (188-1999, college: UCF) who led his team to a victory scoring 39 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). His fellow American import guard DeMarco Dickerson (196-1997, college: SHU, agency: One Motive Sports) helped adding 11 points and 5 rebounds. Dickerson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Swingman Attila Demeter (198-1997) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Bosnian guard Stefan Mijovic (193-1995) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Bp. Honved players scored in double figures. Hubner NBS maintains fourteenth place with 1-10 record. It was Bp. Honved's third loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with nine games lost. They share it with Szedeak. Hubner NBS will meet at home higher ranked Kaposvari (#11) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Bp. Honved will play against DEAC in Debrecen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
