Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Neftekhimik T. (7-7) lost to first ranked BARS-RGEU (11-3) in Rostov 80-95 on Sunday. BARS-RGEU made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for Vladislav Gusak (202-1995) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). The former international Aleksandr Golyakhov (195-1991) accounted for 26 points for the winning side. Guard Sergey Rozhkov (188-1999) came up with 18 points and center Arkadii Polischuk (202-2003) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Neftekhimik T. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BARS-RGEU have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-3 record, which they share with Dynamo-MGTU. Loser Neftekhimik T. keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. BARS-RGEU will again meet Neftekhimik T.
