Regular Season Round 10: Anagennises - Anorthosis 81-69

Very significant was Anagennises' (#2, 8-2) victory against one of their biggest challengers Anorthosis (6-4) 81-69. The game was mostly controlled by Anagennises. Anorthosis managed to win fourth quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Anagennises forced 19 Anorthosis turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Mezra Torlak (172-2002) chipped in 29 points and 8 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Laci Hawthorne (183-1999, college: Utah St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and Maria Konstantinou (171-1997) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second position with 8-2 record having just two points less than leader AEL. Anorthosis at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost.
