The most important game in the last round took place in Moscow between second ranked UMMC Junior (11-3) and fourth ranked MBA-2 (11-4) on Saturday night. UMMC Junior was crushed by MBA-2 on the road 56-89. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of UMMC Junior. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to UMMC Junior's 38. MBA-2 forced 25 UMMC Junior turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Center Valeria Yakovleva (187-2004) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Center Anastasiia Bobrik (185-2001) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Forward Daria Anikina (185-2002) replied with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Anna Borodina (179-2002) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for UMMC Junior. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBA-2 moved-up to third place. UMMC Junior at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. MBA-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UMMC Junior will play on the road against Runa in Moscow and is hoping to win this game.
