There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Szedeak (3-12) beat higher ranked Duna Aszfalt (7-7) in Kecskemet 92-86 on Friday. Szedeak shot 64.2 percent from the field. Szedeak had a 24-13 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Szedeak especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Tyler Roberson (203-1994, college: Syracuse) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international power forward Kristof Bognar (205-1994) accounted for 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-1986) came up with 26 points and the former international center Kemal Karahodzic (210-1989) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Duna Aszfalt in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Szedeak maintains twelfth place with 3-12 record, which they share with Bp. Honved. Duna Aszfalt lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with seven games lost. Szedeak will meet higher ranked Kormend (#8) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Duna Aszfalt will play against DEAC in Debrecen and hope to secure a win.
