Regular Season Round 15: BKG Prima - Atomeromu 65-92

No shocking result in a game in Szigetszentmiklos where fifth ranked Szekszard (12-4) smashed 9th ranked BKG Prima (4-10) 92-65 on Saturday. Szekszard dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BKG Prima's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by BKG Prima's players. It was a great evening for American forward Ruthy Hebard (192, college: Oregon) who led her team to a victory scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Melinda Miklos (184-2003) helped adding 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Szekszard players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was German center Ama Degbeon (188-1995, college: FSU) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Kayla Jones (188, college: NC State) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. BKG Prima's coach Tibor Gedei gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Szekszard. They maintain fifth place with 12-4 record. BKG Prima lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Szekszard will meet at home higher ranked Miskolc (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BKG Prima will play against the league's leader Sopron (#1) and hope to secure a win.
