Very predictable result when third ranked Alba (11-4) won against 9th ranked OSE Lions (6-9) in Oraszlany 83-66 on Saturday. Alba made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Adam Somogyi (191-2000) who led the winners and scored 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American guard Quenton DeCosey (195-1993, college: Temple) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Alba players scored in double figures. Serbian guard Djordje Dimitrijevic (188-1997, college: Mercer) came up with 20 points and swingman Tamas Mucza (190-1999) added 15 points respectively for OSE Lions in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Alba maintains third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Szombathely. Loser OSE Lions keep the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with DEAC. Alba will meet at home ZTE KK (#4) in the next round. OSE Lions will play against Bp. Honved (#13) in Budapest and hope to secure a win.
