Regular Season Round 15: Sopron KC - Szolnok 76-78

The most exciting game of round 15 in the A Division took place in Sopron. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 4th placed Sopron KC (10-5) to second ranked Szolnok (13-2) 78-76 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Sopron KC. It was a good game for American Auston Barnes (203-1991, college: Bradley) who led his team to a victory with 23 points. His fellow American import point guard Jabril Durham (185-1994, college: Arkansas) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Yasiin Joseph (186, college: Carleton) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and American forward Jordan Barnett (201-1995, college: Missouri) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Sopron KC. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. Szolnok have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-2 record behind leader Szombathely. Sopron KC at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with ZTE KK. Szolnok are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Hubner NBS (#14) in Nyiregyhaza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Sopron KC will play on the road against the league's leader Szombathely (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
