No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Kazanochka (11-5) smashed on the road bottom-ranked Novocherkassk (0-15) 94-49 on Sunday. Kazanochka dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Novocherkassk's 36. They outrebounded Novocherkassk 46-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Kazanochka looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Novocherkassk's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Anastaiya Kuplinova (175-1996) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 5 rebounds, 11 assists and 4 steals and guard Alina Novikova (175-1997) who added 20 points during the contest. Kazanochka's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side power forward Mariam Banna (183-1999) responded with 12 points and 5 rebounds and center Alexandra Plyasova (194-1987) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Kazanochka maintains fifth position with 11-5 record. Loser Novocherkassk still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Kazanochka will meet at home Spartak SP (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Novocherkassk will play against Dynamo-En.IVA and hopes to get finally their first victory.
