Regular Season Round 15: ELTE BEAC - Sopron 62-79

Leader Sopron delivered the fourteenth win on Sunday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Ujbuda BEAC (6-9) 79-62 in Budapest. Sopron forced 20 Ujbuda BEAC turnovers. The best player for the winners was Serbian Jelena Brooks (188-1989) who scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Australian center Eziyoda Magbegor (193-1999) chipped in 16 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Morgan Green (175, college: UC Irvine) who recorded 21 points and 9 assists and Croatian center Ana Vojtulek (189) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sopron (14-1) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place. Ujbuda BEAC lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Sopron are looking forward to face BKG Prima (#9) in Szigetszentmiklos in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ujbuda BEAC will play at home against PINKK-Pecsi and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
