Very expected game when 10th ranked TFSE-MTK (3-12) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked Miskolc (12-2) 76-46 on Sunday. Miskolc dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to TFSE-MTK's 30. They outrebounded TFSE-MTK 48-27 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Puerto Rican-American point guard Arella Guirantes (181-1997, college: Rutgers) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Veronika Kanyasi (179-1999) helped adding 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Miskolc players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Lauren Manis (185-1998, college: Holy Cross, agency: LBM Management) with 14 points and guard Panka Dul (179-2000) scored 11 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Miskolc. They moved-up to third place. TFSE-MTK lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Miskolc will meet Szekszard (#5) on the road in the next round. TFSE-MTK will play against Cegledi (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
