There was no surprise when 12th ranked Samara-2 (2-22) was crushed at home by third ranked Lokomotiv-2 (18-6) 81-40 on Tuesday. Lokomotiv-2 outrebounded Samara-2 47-30 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Artem Oreshnikov (205-2004) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds and forward Lev Kuzmenko (204-2003) who added 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Guard Daniil Volkov (195-2004) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Vladislav Ionov scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lokomotiv-2 have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Samara-2 lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Lokomotiv-2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Samara-2 will play against Zenit-2 (#6) and hope to secure a win.
