Very important is a road loss of third ranked Alba (11-6) against thirteenth ranked Szedeak (4-13) on Saturday night. Visiting Alba was defeated by Szedeak in a tough game in Szeged 78-87. Szedeak made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Szedeak outrebounded Alba 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. American guard Desi Washington (188-1992, college: St.Peter's) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Tyler Roberson (203-1994, college: Syracuse) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Szedeak players scored in double figures. American guard Quenton DeCosey (195-1993, college: Temple) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and the former international swingman David Vojvoda (195-1990) scored 24 points. Szedeak moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bp. Honved. Loser Alba dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Szedeak will meet Bp. Honved (#13) in the next round. Alba will play against Kormend (#8) and hope to secure a win.
