Regular Season Round 13: Anagennises - Keravnos 99-35

Bottom-ranked Keravnos (0-13) is still winless. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they lost on the road their 13th consecutive match to second ranked Anagennises (10-3) 99-35. The game without a history. Anagennises led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Keravnos to just 5 points in first quarter. Anagennises held Keravnos to an opponent 19.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 56.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Anagennises forced 23 Keravnos turnovers and outrebounded them 44-26 including a 36-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Keravnos' players. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) nailed a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and the former international Mezra Torlak (172-2002) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Anagennises' coach Iraklis Pittakas felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
