Regular Season Round 20: MBA-2 - Kazanochka 59-65

Round 20 most important game was a victory of Kazanochka over one of their biggest challengers MBA-2 65-59 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBA-2. Kazanochka forced 24 MBA-2 turnovers. Strangely MBA-2 outrebounded Kazanochka 49-27 including a 33-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Anastaiya Kuplinova (175-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points. Center Irina Litvinenko (189-1996) contributed with 7 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ekaterina Koshechkina (189-2002) replied with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and Anastasia Bocharova (182-1977) added 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for MBA-2. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kazanochka (15-5) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position having just two points less than leader Chevakata. MBA-2 at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. They share the position with UMMC Junior. Kazanochka are looking forward to face Sparta&K-2 V (#6) in Vidnoye in the next round. MBA-2 will play on the road against Novocherkassk and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
