Regular Season Round 25: UNICS-2 - MBA-2 60-71

VTB-Youth League top team - MBA-2 (26-4) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat eighth ranked UNICS-2 (14-16) in Kazan 71-60. They outrebounded UNICS-2 45-26 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Forward Stepan Chizhikov (196-2003) stepped up and scored 9 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and forward Kirill Esipov (195-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Artem Kizilov (182-2003) responded with 14 points and 5 assists and center Stanislav Pinchuk (201-2003) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 maintains first place with 26-4 record. UNICS-2 lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 16 games lost. MBA-2's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Moscow to the arena Runa-2.
