Very important is a home loss of second ranked Szolnok (14-4) against seventh ranked Duna Aszfalt (10-8) on Tuesday night. Host Szolnok was defeated by Duna Aszfalt in a tough game in Szolnok 64-70. Montenegrin swingman Milos Borisov (201-1985) notched 15 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international center Kemal Karahodzic (210-1989) supported him with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Duna Aszfalt players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by American Auston Barnes (203-1991, college: Bradley) did not help to save the game for Szolnok. The former international point guard Mate Pongo (185-1993, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Duna Aszfalt moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Sopron KC. Loser Szolnok keeps the second position with four games lost. Duna Aszfalt will meet higher ranked ZTE KK (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Szolnok will play against Bp. Honved and hope to secure a win.
