Rather predictable result when eighth ranked Kormend (10-9) defeated at home 12th ranked Bp. Honved (5-14) 81-64 on Saturday. Kormend made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American point guard Siyani Chambers (183-1993, college: Harvard) fired 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Swingman Krisztofer Durazi (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Bosnian guard Stefan Mijovic (193-1995) produced 16 points and guard Andras Dez (190-2002) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kormend moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Sopron KC. Newly promoted Bp. Honved keeps the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Kormend will meet Kaposvari (#11) on the road in the next round. Bp. Honved will play against Arconic-Alba and hope to secure a win.
