Regular Season Round 22: Uralmash - TSU 85-74

The game between Top Four teams took place in Yekaterinburg. First ranked host Uralmash (19-1) defeated 3rd ranked TSU (15-4) 85-74. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of TSU. Uralmash players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. TSU was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international Aleksandr Zakharov (202-1993) notched 18 points to lead the effort and American forward Javonte Douglas (203-1992, college: Montevallo) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Four Uralmash players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by forward Alexandr Lavnikov (205-1991) did not help to save the game for TSU. Forward Ilya Karpenko (204-1997) added 9 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Uralmash have an impressive 15-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 19-1 record. TSU at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Uralmash will play against Novosybirsk (#5) in Novosibirsk in the next round. TSU will play on the road against Barnaul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
