There was no surprise in Budapest where 12th ranked Bp. Honved (5-15) was defeated by fourth ranked Arconic-Alba (12-8) 102-87 on Friday. Arconic-Alba dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Bp. Honved's 42. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Adam Somogyi (191-2000) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international swingman David Vojvoda (195-1990) who added 29 points during the contest. Arconic-Alba's coach Matthias Zollner used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Isaiah Crawley (201-1998, college: Georgia South) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian guard Stefan Mijovic (193-1995) scored 21 points and 4 assists. Five Arconic-Alba and four Bp. Honved players scored in double figures. Arconic-Alba maintains fourth position with 12-8 record. Newly promoted Bp. Honved keeps the twelfth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Szedeak. Arconic-Alba will meet at home Kaposvari (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bp. Honved will play against Duna Aszfalt in Kecskemet and hope to secure a win.
