Fourth-ranked Nadezhda gave a tough game to MBA in Moscow on Wednesday. MBA managed to secure only two-point victory 57-55. However their fans expected easier game. MBA forced 24 Nadezhda turnovers. The former international center Zhosselina Maiga (192-1996) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners and the former international center Nina Glonti (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 8 points and 7 rebounds. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diracujan used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American forward Unique Thompson (190-1999, college: Auburn) responded with 7 points and 16 rebounds and forward Viktoriia Medvedeva (184-1991) scored 14 points. MBA are looking forward to face Dynamo K. in Kursk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nadezhda will play at home against UMMC and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
