Regular Season Round 21: DEAC - ZTE KK 83-81

The game between third ranked ZTE KK (14-7) and ninth ranked DEAC (11-10) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. ZTE KK was edged by DEAC in a tough game in Debrecen 81-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ZTE KK. DEAC looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for guard Balint Mocsan (190-1997, college: Idaho St.) who led his team to a victory with 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Darrin Govens (185-1988, college: St.Joseph's) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American point guard DMitrik Trice (183-1996, college: Wisconsin) answered with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian guard Petar Rakicevic (204-1995) added 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for ZTE KK. ZTE KK's coach Sebastjan Krasovec rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. DEAC have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. ZTE KK at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. DEAC is looking forward to face Szedeak (#12) in Szeged in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ZTE KK will play at home against the league's second-placed Szolnok (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
