Second Stage Round 3: MBA - Sparta&K MR 90-70

Rather predictable result when MBA (21-4) rolled over Sparta&K MR (12-13) in Moscow 90-70. They outrebounded Sparta&K MR 38-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. MBA shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international center Nina Glonti (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Victoria Cheren (187-1998) helped adding 12 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international Daria Ignatova (180-2000) with 13 points and swingman Anna Kuznetsova (177-2001) scored 10 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA will play against UMMC in Yekaterinburg in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sparta&K MR will play on the road against Nadezhda (#4) in Orenburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
