Regular Season Round 20: Sopron - Atomeromu 65-57

A Division top team - Sopron (19-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Atomeromu (13-7) 65-57. Sopron players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The winners were led by Australian center Eziyoda Magbegor (193-1999) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and Serbian Jelena Brooks (188-1989) supported her with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Sopron's coach David Gaspar allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds by international forward Cyesha Goree (188-1993, college: Michigan) did not help to save the game for Atomeromu. The former international swingman Melinda Miklos (184-2003) added 17 points for the guests. Sopron have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 19-1 record. Atomeromu at the other side keeps the fifth place with seven games lost. Sopron will play against league's second-placed UNI Gyor on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Atomeromu will play against PEAC-Pecs and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
