The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Uralmash as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Uralmash smashed 8th ranked Univ.Surgut in Yekaterinburg 81-60. Uralmash forced 25 Univ.Surgut turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Uralmash made 7 blocks.
