There was a minor upset in Paks where 5th ranked Duna Aszfalt (12-10) was crushed by eighth ranked Atomeromu (12-10) 99-76 on Saturday. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Duna Aszfalt's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-1991) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian forward Milos Grubor (201-1991) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. The former international center Kemal Karahodzic (210-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and American-Dominican center Marques Townes (193-1995, college: Loyola, IL) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Duna Aszfalt. Atomeromu will meet at home OSE Lions (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Duna Aszfalt will play against Kaposvari (#10) and hope to secure a win.
