Very expected game when 11th ranked Swiss Central (2-17) lost on the road to fifth ranked Neuchatel (10-8) 87-74 on Saturday. The winners were led by American point guard Justin Roberts (182-1998, college: Georgia St.) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 assists and Grenadian center Arkim Robertson (208-1994, college: CS Fullerton) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Even 24 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals by American swingman Trevion Lamar (196-1999, college: Catawba) did not help to save the game for Swiss Central. Naturalized Belgian center Stan Leemans (203-1992) added 12 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Five Neuchatel and four Swiss Central players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Neuchatel have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-8 record. Swiss Central lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. Neuchatel will meet Nyon (#9) on the road in the next round. Swiss Central will play against the league's leader Massagno and hope to secure a win.
