Important game to mention about took place in Yekaterinburg. Sixth ranked Sparta&K-2 V (15-15) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked UMMC Junior (18-12) 73-70 on Tuesday evening. Sparta&K-2 V forced 25 UMMC Junior turnovers. UMMC Junior was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Karina Komarova (186-2004) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Sofia Liulina (181-2004) supported her with 18 points. Four Sparta&K-2 V players scored in double figures. Sparta&K-2 V's coach Evgeniya Nikonova allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 20 points and 4 assists by forward Darya Sidorova (176-2001) did not help to save the game for UMMC Junior. Polina Kuznetsova (181-2004) added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the hosts. Sparta&K-2 V maintains sixth position with 15-15 record. UMMC Junior lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. Sparta&K-2 V will play against league's leader Dynamo-Farm in Kursk in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. UMMC Junior will play on the road against MBA-2 (#3) in Moscow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
