Rather expected game when 10th ranked Parma-2 (7-33) was smashed by eighth ranked UNICS-2 (22-18) in Kazan 102-73 on Tuesday. UNICS-2 outrebounded Parma-2 43-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 51.6 percentage. UNICS-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Guard Sergey Polstyanov (194-2002) nailed 36 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Artem Kizilov (182-2003) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists. Guard Grigoriy Tuchkov (183-2003) came up with 27 points and 8 assists and forward Pavel Morozov (200-2003) added 14 points and 5 assists respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. UNICS-2 have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 22-18 record. Parma-2 lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 33 games lost. They share it with Enisey-2. UNICS-2 will meet league's second-placed Lokomotiv-2 in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parma-2 will play against Samara-2 (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
