Regular Season Round 24: Szedeak - Szombathely 82-97

A Division top team - Szombathely (21-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat twelfth ranked Szedeak (6-18) in Szeged 97-82. Szombathely shot 67.9 percent from the field. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international Zoltan Perl (195-1995, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 26 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and American Matt Tiby (203-1992, college: Milwaukee, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 17 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Four Szombathely players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Desi Washington (188-1992, college: St.Peter's) with 20 points and 5 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and his fellow American import forward Tyler Roberson (203-1994, college: Syracuse) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Szombathely have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-3 record. Szedeak at the other side keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Bp. Honved. Szombathely will play against Kormend (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Szedeak will play against Atomeromu (#7) in Paks and hopes to get back on the winning track.
