There was no surprise in Perm where 12th ranked Samara-2 (4-38) was defeated by tenth ranked Parma-2 (8-34) 91-87 on Friday. Parma-2 made 22-of-23 free shots (95.7 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Parma-2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Guard Arseniy Koryakin (194-2004) fired 22 points for the winners. Dmitry Mikheev (191-2004) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Daniil Volkov (195-2004) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists and Vladislav Ionov added 25 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Parma-2 maintains tenth position with 8-34 record. Samara-2 lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 38 lost games. Parma-2 will again meet at home bottom-ranked Samara-2 (#12) in the next round. Samara-2 will have a break next round.
