Regular Season Round 35: Parma-2 - Samara-2 90-95

Bottom-ranked Samara-2 managed to get a fourth victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses. This time they won against tenth-ranked Parma-2 in Perm 95-90. Samara-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Parma-2's 44. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Parma-2 was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for guard Daniil Volkov (195-2004) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Viktor Shevchenko (185-2002) accounted for 21 points and 9 assists for the winning side. Guard Grigoriy Tuchkov (183-2003) came up with 31 points and 5 rebounds and forward Mikhail Stafeev (198-2005) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Parma-2 in the defeat. Five Samara-2 and four Parma-2 players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Samara-2 maintains twelfth place with 4-38 record. Parma-2 at the other side keeps the tenth position with 34 games lost. Samara-2 will play against higher ranked Khimki-2 (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Parma-2 will play against Avtodor-2 (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
