VTB-Youth League top team - MBA-2 (34-8) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Enisey-2 (7-35) in Moscow 83-67. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Enisey-2's 32. They outrebounded Enisey-2 51-22 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Damir Chiglikov (205-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Pasha Ismailov (196-2003) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. MBA-2's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Aleksandr Gritsenko (195-2004) produced 18 points and forward Kirill Isaev (199-2004) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for MBA-2. They maintain first place with 34-8 record. Enisey-2 lost their sixteenth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 35 games lost. MBA-2's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Moscow CSKA U23.
