Regular Season Round 25: Neuchatel - Starwings 82-78

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Starwings (7-18) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked Neuchatel (12-12) 82-78 on Tuesday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Neuchatel looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Juan De La Fuente (195-2000) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and American point guard Justin Roberts (182-1998, college: Georgia St.) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side American guard Shawn Williams (185-1998, college: UAPB) responded with 28 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Nigerian-American power forward TK Edogi (203-1994, college: Iona) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neuchatel moved-up to fifth place. Starwings lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 18 games lost. Neuchatel will meet league's leader Massagno on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Starwings will have a break next round.
