SBL top team - Massagno (26-3) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Swiss Central (4-25) 102-84. Massagno dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Swiss Central's 38. The best player for the winners was the former international Marko Mladjan (205-1993) who scored 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). American forward Isaiah Williams (201-1992, college: Iona) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Five Massagno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Trevion Lamar (196-1999, college: Catawba) who recorded 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and Canadian power forward Julian Roche (211-1997, college: Simon Fraser) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Massagno have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 26-3 record. Loser Swiss Central stay dead last with 25 lost games. Massagno will meet league's second-placed Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Swiss Central will play against Starwings (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
