Regular Season Round 3: Nika - MBA 61-79

No shocking result in a game when MBA (3-0) beat Nika (0-2) in Syktyvkar 79-61 on Tuesday. MBA made 20-of-20 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They also forced 19 Nika turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international center Nina Glonti (188-1997, agency: LBM Management) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Mariya Krymova (170-2001) accounted for 15 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) for the winning side. MBA's coach Aleksandr Diratsuyan used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Marie Benson (185-1997, college: UT Arlington) came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Bria Holmes (185-1994, college: WVU) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Nika in the defeat. MBA will meet at home Nadezhda (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Nika will play against Neftyanik (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
