Very important is a road loss of third ranked MBA-2 (2-1) against eighth ranked UMMC Junior (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting MBA-2 was defeated by UMMC Junior in a tough game in Yekaterinburg 58-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBA-2. UMMC Junior made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 MBA-2 turnovers. Power forward Margarita Kuzyakina (190-2002) fired 9 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Polina Kuznetsova (181-2004) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Olesia Galenko (178-2006) produced 9 points and 13 rebounds and forward Anastasiia Schekoldina (182-2005) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. UMMC Junior maintains eighth position with 2-2 record. Loser MBA-2 dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. UMMC Junior will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MBA-2 will play against Chevakata (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
