Regular Season Round 4: Nika - Neftyanik 61-59

Nika has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Neftyanik (0-3) 61-59. The winners were led by American guard Bria Holmes (185-1994, college: WVU) who scored that evening 11 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Marie Benson (185-1997, college: UT Arlington) supported her with 7 points and 11 rebounds. Even 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Darya Levchenko (182-1994) did not help to save the game for Neftyanik. Center Anna Pachurina (195-1995) added 12 points for lost side. Nika (1-2) left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Sparta&K MR. It was Neftyanik's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. Nika will play against higher ranked UMMC (#3) in Yekaterinburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Neftyanik will play at home against Sparta&K MR (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
