Regular Season Round 5: Dynamo M. - Samara 80-69

Dynamo M. can celebrate their first win this season after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Samara (1-4) 80-69 on Friday. Dynamo M. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Forward Elena Mikhailova (183-2000) stepped up and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and Varvara Psareva (192-1985) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Anna Zaitceva (182-1999) responded with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Julia Poluyanova (187-1992) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Samara players scored in double figures. Dynamo M. left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Dynamo NR and Samara. It was Samara's fourth loss in a row. Dynamo M.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Moscow to the arena MBA.
