Regular Season Round 3: AEL - Etha 81-63

There was a small surprise in Limassol where AEL (1-2) defeated Etha (1-2) 81-63. It looked good early as Etha took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then AEL had a 23-17 second period charge getting the lead and Etha was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-81. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. It was an exceptional evening for guard Jordan Shepherd (193, college: California) who led the winners and scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Nelly Cummings (183, college: Pittsburgh) accounted for 16 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Cummings is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Tyler Stevenson (203-2000, college: MSU) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 17 rebounds and guard Eric Reed Jr (185-2000, college: MSU) added 17 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Etha in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AEL's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Limassol to the arena Apollon.
