Very important is a road loss of third ranked Szolnok (3-1) against seventh ranked ZTE KK (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Szolnok was crushed by ZTE KK in Zalaegerszeg 115-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Szolnok. ZTE KK shot 60.9 percent from the field and made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Szolnok 41-24 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. ZTE KK shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. At the losing side American point guard JR Clay (183-2000, college: Tennessee St., agency: Diamond Sports) responded with 24 points and 5 assists and his fellow American import forward Dustin Thomas (203-1995, college: Arkansas) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ZTE KK moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Szolnok at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams. ZTE KK will play against league's second-placed Kormend on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Szolnok will play against the league's leader Alba in Szekesfehervar and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
