There was no surprise when bottom-rankedNovocherkassk (0-6) was crushed at home by fourth ranked MBA-2 (5-2) 102-44 on Wednesday. MBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Novocherkassk 's 22. MBA-2 forced 26 Novocherkassk turnovers and outrebounded them 48-23 including a 23-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. MBA-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Novocherkassk 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Anastasiia Schekoldina (182-2005) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals and center Mariya Ushakova (196-2006, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five MBA-2 players scored in double figures. Forward Vlada Kryuchkova (186-2003) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and forward Svetlana Karelova (176-1997) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBA-2 moved-up to third place. Loser Novocherkassk still closes the standings with six games lost. They share the position with Stavropol and Peresvet.
