Regular Season Round 11: Spartak SP - Chevakata 75-81

The game between third ranked Spartak (6-3) and sixth ranked Chevakata (6-4) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Spartak was defeated by Chevakata in a tough game in Saint Petersburg 75-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Spartak SP. The best player for the winners was center Ekaterina Terekhova (188-1990) who scored 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Forward Lidiya Malakhova (184-2003) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Chevakata players scored in double figures. Guard Ekaterina Voronina (175-2002, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced 27 points and 6 rebounds and forward Diana Popova (183-1997, agency: LBM Management) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Spartak SP's coach Evgeni Korshunov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chevakata maintains sixth place with 6-4 record. Spartak at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with UMMC Junior and MBA-2. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
