Regular Season Round 11: Sparta&K MR - Dynamo NR 68-87

Bottom-rankedDynamo NR managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of six consecutive losses. This time they outleveled eighth-ranked Sparta&K MR in Vidnoye 87-68 . It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 19-point difference suggests that Dynamo NR is in a good shape to leave the bottom place. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta&K MR 's 28. They outrebounded Sparta&K MR 38-24 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Sparkle Taylor (178-1995, college: UTEP) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import center Kai James (196-1995, college: FSU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Dynamo NR players scored in double figures. Swingman Anna Kuznetsova (177-2001) answered with 17 points and 4 assists and Sabina Abaidullina (187-1997) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Sparta&K MR. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dynamo NR (2-8) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Sparta&K MR.
