A Division top team -Szombathely (13-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked NKA Pecs (6-8) 96-66 . Szombathely outrebounded NKA Pecs 50-32 including 16 on the offensive glass. Szombathely looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Marcell Pongo (193-1997, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 9 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international center Akos Keller (208-1989) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Bosnian power forward Ibrahim Durmo (202-1997) produced 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Gaspar Kerpel-Fronius (188-1998) added 7 points and 6 assists respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Szombathely have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-1 record. Newly promoted NKA Pecs dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost.
